Ron (aka Chas Manson) comes over yesterday upon seeing me rip off the shutters from the front bay window. he asks if they're any good and that a friend was lookin' for a pair. I guess I could have been more gentle so as not to tear the screw holes bigger, in case someone....wait, I know what he wanted, he was probl'y wondering if they were aluminum (he takes anything and everything to the scrapyard for some cigarette money. well, what ever his motive, I'd have given them to him if he wanted). he decides he doesn't want 'em, so I bust them up and throw 'em in the trash can. then he changes his mind and wants the screws (good gawd! I think he gets a bang out of dumpster diving...watch out for those full pooperdog bags). we then get into a discussion about how cheap the place across the street is selling for ($3500). he rants on to say they could prob'ly get 4 times that amount, and that he paid $17,000 for his dump
. JESUS! I hope he bought the place brand new? anyway, it looks as if the place already sold. I see a good lookin' chick moving stuff in
. I dry roasted my back pretty good yesterday (sunburn from Hell!). maybe I'll paint the wall under the porch roof first, then maybe paint the east side as the sun sinks into the west *plan*. it's supposed to rain tomorrow....how long does paint have to dry before getting wet? It prob'ly sez on da can *fart*
I gotta make another run to the store to pick up a couple more items and finish off this to-do list. first a smallish pooperdog walk is in order...
later: I plunk down a good $250 for 5 gallons of paint (what happened to the price of good paint?!?!
good gawd! it ain't cheap! $170 for 5 gallons. dayum! oh well, if it lasts 10 or 15 years, it'll be worth it), rollers, more TSP, brushes, paint pans, etc. (stuff I prob'ly already have in the shed but are too chicken to look for fear of snakes...wait! 'chicken' was yesterday's word of the day
). I finish TSP-ing the area around the deck. man! I had no idea how gross and dirty that deck wall was until I TSP'd it. yikes! grubby!! the good news (financially) is that I get a $5 rebate for each can of paint, as well as mail in rebates for other stuff. I gotta take the time and write those letters. I'm a bit apprehensive about starting to paint. it looks like rain tomorrow (40% chance), then a nice day, followed by more rain, then two nice days in a row. maybe I'll wait for the two nice days. just to be sure. *plan*
Squabber taking a drink of milk before bedtime

I mention that I'm gonna paint my place the same color as my shed, but I don't think I ever posted a pic of the finished shed...
