Thursday (recalling 3 days back, half wiped out after 4 beers and 12 hours of work), I pretty much have to lay flat on my belly on the roof and reach over the overhang (not "overhang" so much, maybe 'eaves trough' would be a better word) to paint the trim above the porch roof...I know the porch roof can hold a good 170 lbs of snow or more, but to concentrate all that weight on one spot scares the shit out of me (as far as possible porch roof collapse goes), so ninja roof belly painting it is (the whole 70 foot length), and if that's not bad enough, I had to do the whole trim again (second coat), the same way, I felt muscles I didn't know I had, the next day. I also paint the entire front of the trailer all battleship gray, with many ideas on how to trim it in white...I ask the neighbor. he gives me the best advice, pointing out trim work on other trailers nearby. I still have to paint the porch roof eaves, and the front and back door, then look into measuring for shutters (again, the neighbor suggests white shutters and doors, instead of burgundy. ok, his vote's been entered).
Friday, it takes all I have, to get up at 4:30am. I just spent 10 days waking up at 9:30 (or the like) every morning. my first day back was mostly uneventful. afterward, I yack with the neighbor (yeah, the same one who gave me advice above) about putting an outdoor plug on the porch wall (he's a certified electrician, so he walked me thru it). that's a project I'll be looking at next. this extension cord business from the rear of the trailer just doesn't cut it. anyway, I make the mistake of using a couple Tylonal PM's as late as 10pm knowing I only got 7 hours 'til I wake up, and already being 1/2 exhausted from the days work (I like natural sleep, but can't always rely on it on work nights), making it that much harder to wake up Saturday at 4:30. 0nce again, I make it thru the day, this time spending the last hour and a half on the next assembly line over. the guys on that line suggest that I maybe try out for C crew (the weekend shift I pull now) on their line, saying further that the Dodge Ram line (that I've been on all along) will soon be dropping their peeps once it moves to Mexico. good call. maybe I'll talk to HR on Monday, otherwise, if I take no action, I'll be at their mercy, come that moving day, as to where I get assigned, and it might just be at a welding post again
....anyway, tonight, after coming home, the pooperdog and I do a barefoot walk, then I hit the shower, do some dishes, do a load of laundry, sweep the kitchen, vacuum a bit, and watch a documentary on North Korea [Seoul train] (I stray from my normal zombie/horror fest, and do me some documentaries, including the aforementioned, as well as a movie called "gashole", and another called 'the age of stupid' via netflix. I do love me a good documentary! as I'm typing, the trailer a couple 3 west of me, on the same side, rev their Harley's as if to show the park that they are bad asses. this happens often. they'll sit and rev/idle, rev/idle, rev/idle, rev/idle for 10 to 15 minutes before they bust out of the park at full throttle. I feel bad for the double wide right next door. it's a young couple with a baby that has to put up with that crap daily. why do these modern day hippies gotta be so thoughtless to their trailer trash neighbors? is this the damn '70s? they make mufflers now, but still they gotta be all loud and rude, shrouding themselves in dirty sleeveless leather vests and flat black 1/2 helmets that have that stereotypical "helmet laws suck" stickers. amazing! can't a Harley rider just wear "normal" street clothes?

so, here I sit, listening to 'Caribou' radio (pandora), gazing at the 1/2 moon out on the porch, around 11:30 pm, with the pooperdog by my side, writing...then a "7 minute remaining" laptop battery warning rears it's ugly head *fart*
