awe struck!

I get my pick-up notice (via email) to pick up my TV pick-up order with my pick-up truck. I almost need a bigger truck. the box is huge! the guy at the store had no problems [gently] throwing it in, but I had no dolly (or the like) to help me wheel it into the house. thank the gawds for nosey neighbors. Ron (aka Chas Manson) stops by to see what all the commotion was about, he then offers to grab a side and help me in the house widdit. I offer him a beer for his help, but he's quickly off (unusually fast. he's usually eager to hang around and tell me his life story
). once inside, I open the box. it's easy to assemble as well as hook up the PS3 to, etc.. the first thing I watch in HD is a bit of the movie 'Terminator' (via Netflix)
. it's pretty awesome! the reviews for the TV said it had bad sound quality, but I don't see it (ummm...hear it). of course, I'm comparing the new with a tinny shallow audio of my 24" flat screen monitor that I used previously. the difference is like night and day! the picture quality is perfect (with many different preset modes; 'sports', 'cinema', etc.). the remote is easy to use. the TV stand has a swivel feature, so I can watch TV from the kitchen (bonus!). I have no complaints. I spend some of the money that I saved on it towards a 4 year warranty (I know warranties are for shmucks, but this is a pretty expensive toy...). the PS 3 experience (gaming wise) is pretty over the top too. I can enjoy my golf game a ton more, seeing the yard markers (and the ball) from the couch 12 feet away. games like 'Dead Space' and 'Dante's inferno' just become more life like and scary (especially when played at night). 'Call of Duty MW3', 'Uncharted 3', 'Resistance 3' (and the like) are beyond awesome!! I'm happy about the set up! did I mention 'awesome!'...the PS3 has that perfect complimentary fit for connecting my other 'puters (via wi-fi), watching movies (via netflix), watching TV (hulu.com), and more with my jumbotron, without having to have a cable TV subscription (it's a bit limited as far as content -no football, for example- but pretty cool none-the-less!).
