• TV!~

  alright, yesterday I ragged on the stalag a bit hard.  there is some good news, but again, we didn't find out thru our boss. it's all rumor (until I could verify it on my check stub).  seems we all got a 25 cent raise (for some apparent reason that we'll never know...anyway, it's one drop of good news among a sea of bad).  you'd think a company would love to announce this, but no!   rumors abound (on the darker tip) that if we don't get our act together within 10 months, the doors will be welded shut...of course, there's always been rumors of either this plant or the one in Battle Creek closing its doors and moving to Mexico, but here we are a year later, and both plants are still kickin', so who knows?  we prob'ly won't get official notice until the day it happens.  nothing surprises me at the stalag anymore...

  last night's beer of choice: Dragons Milk (10% alc! new Holland brewage), and some Schlitz.  playing some Tiger Woods golf, Need for Speed, Dante's Inferno, and others. today, I wake up 'round 6:30, we do us a pooperdog walk, burn some coffee, make some bacon unt eggs mitt English muffins (why they gotta be fork split?!), and commence to cleaning the wood-panel submarine. starting at the kitchen and working back...

  later, I hit Kozak's for a gyro with feta cheese and a root beer, followed by wandering over to Best Buy to see what kind of indoor digital antennas they had (I was reminded that I didn't need a converter box in order to have an indoor antenna with my new flat screen).  I went for a mid priced one not knowing anything about antennas. before hooking it up, I told myself that if I can't get at least 2 channels, I'm returning it.  the auto-tune feature on the TV shows 13 channels found!!  of course, 3 of them are religious (delete!) and 3 different PBS's (keep!), but the others are your NBC and FOX type...I can dig that!  it's around quarter til five, I crack my first beer o' the day, and see what's on TV *fart*
