10 hour work days for these past 5, told on our way out that we had another 10 for Saturday, only to come home, take a nap, and find out through facebook that Saturday's stalag stint had been cancelled [hoooray!]. showered, ran to the beer store for a sixer of microbrew and a back-up sixer of Schlitz, stopped off to Subway for a meatball maranara sub (sharing a couple of meatballs with the silly dog), then came home and rented 'Prometheus'. pretty cool flick! nice twist at the end where...oops, nope. you almost got me to spoil it. rent it. it's good!
my toof still gives me pain here and there. one day I'll get the nerve [pun] to call the dentist. good gawd. the idea of someone ripping out the other broken half is enough to make me run. I've never liked going to the dentist. seems every time I went there'd be another cavity to fill. the smell of that smoke as he bore down on tooth, and the whine of the drill (yeah, you know the rest...RUN!!), but then again, I can't wait 'til this gets infected. that would be 23.2 times worser
pooperdog and I just got back from a rainy walk. it's a mild rain, so not too uncomfortable. I'm starting to dread the thought of those blustery frozen days where the wind cuts thru your coat like a damn knife, meanwhile the silly dog seems hugely unaffected by it, stopping to make snow angels in the drifts...but that's not for another couple months (unless we have an unusually warm winter like last year). currently it's just cooler, and windier with a lot of fruit loop tree leaves on the ground. it's supposed to be rainy all weekend. maybe I'll just hang out with my beerses and my PS3 and continue on with 'Bioshock 2', 'far cry 2', 'bullet storm', etc. I pre-ordered 'doom 3 BFG edition'. it's 3 games in one for the price of one. I do dig those beer goggled nights in the past (on the PS1) playing doom for hours at a time. awesome!
I guess I should take some time to clean the wood-panel submarine as well, but first I need to make me a pot of joe...
