  • another bland week of a million hours at the stalag, leaving yet another 1 day weekendwhatevah.  the only thing holding me together is the rumor that we may have a week off 'round Christmas time, but who knows?  they won't officially tell us 'till the day of...

my toof hurts me good on Thursday night.  I end up going home after an hour and a half of sheer agony.  it's swollen to the point where I can't clench my teeth without jets of pain jutting into my brain (I know, I'd rather have two broken arms than this kind of agonyshocked).  I see the doctor on Tuesday (to get my blood pressure checked, to be "ok'd" to go through with the toof pulling procedure), then it's only two weeks before they yank these puppies.  good gawd!  two weeks is an eternity when you're in pain.   it's similar to waiting seemingly forever for my hernia operation...days and weeks seemed like months while dealing with pain management.  I call around to Grand Rabbit's oral surgeons on Friday, to see if I can get an earlier appointment?  seems everyone (according to one receptionist) is trying to get their dentistry in before the end of the year to take advantage of what's left of this year's insurance bennys, plus college kids are home for the holidays, busy getting their teef cleaned/fixed, etc..  great! I picked an awesome time of year to have a busted toofwhatevah.  oh well.  ibuprofen helps tame the fire...'Cabin Fever' [Founder's brew] was last night's pain management tool of choicesilly.  anyway, enough about pain.  I can't manage it, if I'm always dwelling on it.

Rosie's doing ok for an ol' stubborn dog.  I got her a new bed. there wasn't a price tag on it, but I figured it would be $30 tops.  my jaw hit the ground when the bar code scanned $58shocked (I know, right? a piece of foam and some cloth for 58 clams!).  I decide it's worth it 'cause who knows how long she'll be around (an argument that most would decide not to buy it, but what the hell...).  now she can be comfortable in her remaining days.  and right on cue, she has her nose resting on my leg letting me know it's time for that pooperdog walk.
