• the more I investigate these websites about dog treats that cause kidney failure, the more things seem to fall into place.  I've bought many o' bag of chicken jerky for Rosie, thinking it a nice healthy snack (at $12 a bag).  I might as well had filled her water bowl with Prestone II.  these treats made in China are toxic to say the least.  if you remember about a month ago, I had mentioned Rosie was close to her deathbed days, thinkin' maybe it was simply her body giving out from old age.  come to find out a lot of the symptoms (lethargy, diarrhea, drinking tons of water, urinating a lot, not eating regular solid food, etc) were all the signs she was showing.  and again, I would have brought her to the vet if she was any younger, thinking you can't cure old age.  the tell tale symptom on these websites was a mucus-y stool (which she had, when she didn't have diarrhea).  anyway.  it's been over a week since Wagin' Trains recall, and she has bounced back significantly.  her lethargic ways, gone.  her poops, much healthier.  she walks in front of me now while on our walks instead of  trailing along at a 1/2 mile per hour hour pace.  she seems a bunch happier.  it's like day and night.  I just hope no permanent damage was caused.  I'm thinkin' maybe I'll make it up to her by buying her real chicken, cookin' it up, cuttin' it into strips, throw 'em in the coolerator to use as treats *plan*

   

  now, quite honestly, having said all that, I can't be %100 sure that  it wasn't her age and not these treats at all, but it's hard to not jump to conclusions due to the overwhelming symptom parallel, and, of course, I'll never buy these treats again, so we'll prob'ly never know for sure...
  

   

  I use my snow blower for the first time today...I completely forgot how to start the damn thing since it's been a year+.  the neighbors were prob'ly laughin' at me as I looked at the machine all dumb-founded like.
