  • another long ass week filled with grueling assembly line work.  peeps (including me) are getting plum (plumb?) wore out.  everyone hopes for a reprieve [from the governor?] in order to have a two day weekend.  no such luck!  we go in tonight at 10pm and pull an 8 hour shift, which will prob'ly go by quickly now that we're used to working 100 hours a daywhatevah.  Mark (co-worker) stops by before work last night.  drivers readied to hit the range.  it was fun! I'd whiff the club slicing nothing but air a couple good times, but that's part of learning how to hit the damn thing (does it count as a stroke if you miss the ball completely?silly).   after work, Mark drives to Russ' and springs for breakfast, followed by driving me to his shack, so I can pick up my shrimpy truck that he had borrowed (he used my truck betwixt the sale of his old car and completing the buying of the new).  he's got a new (used) G6 GT Pontiac convertible.  nice ride!  I guess he dug my Pontiac convertible so much he had to grab one up himself .  his is much more practical, being a 4 seater hard top, but I still think I could take him in the quarter milewinky.

online banking shows last weeks million hour check bringing an extra $420 (monies over and above paying bills and what-not) that I quickly apply to the 'Kid' loan.  that plus this months monthly (redundo?) payment of $135 chops the balance from $940 to $385...that loan is almost gone (shiggity shweet)!  if we keep workin' a zillion hours, I'll have my debt gone in no time flat, if my body can survive the grueling regimentwhatevah.  I get a week off starting next Friday.  maybe I can actually recharge (while looking for a 40 hour job,  drinking ale, playing golf -both video and real-, pooperdog walks, etc.)

anyway, I had a bit of time this morning to kill, so I went and bought me a couple of sixers of craft brewage for this morning and my one day weekend, plus a few groceries, some carnoba car wax, unt chrome cleaner in case the weather is warm enough on my 'stay-cation' to shine my shrimpy bat-mobile.  currently, it's been just above freezing at nights, with highs around 45 to 50F during the day.  next week looks like a lot of rain.  maybe the grass will turn from this tundra matted leaf brown to Kentucky blue soonpleased.
