  • a good head of lettuce, a couple tomatoes, some multi-grain bread and some turkey bacon bought last weekend has lasted me nicely for a good many BLT's (mmmmmmms!).  I burnt the crap out of a couple pieces of toast, throwing them in the yard, only to have the garbage eating pooperdog devour them as if char coal is better tasting than that $30 dog food I buy herwhatevah.  speaking of da mutt, she doesn't so much like walking during the constant thunderstorms we've been having lately, she instead turns and pees right on the livingroom carpet between the TV and me (this after many times of trying to coax her outside with treats).  did she forget about the ok spot on the kitchen linoleum, or was that too close to where the thunder sound comes from?   I check today and tomorrow's weather and it's much of the same (rain turning to snow tomorrow afternoon).  I mean, I used to be afraid of thunderstorms too, 1000 years ago when I was a kid (I completely enjoy 'em now), but I'd try and at least make it to the toilet (when I didn't wet the bed, but that strays from the point)laughing.  anyway, she's a good dog.

and speakin' of da mutt (part 2rd), we got her all licensed up for the year ($10 and a rabies shot), along with a 3 month supply of flea and tick stuff (for the dog and cat), crossing off yet another item from my to-do list.  I started heading into the ER for my finger problem, but it has been feeling much better with this time off.  I guess I'll wait to see if I re-injure it at work, then claim it happened right then...what? it did happen at work, why not make it official?  it's not as if I hurt it at home (blah, blah, whatever).  here's hopin' the week off will make it go away, all together.

betwixt small bouts of rain, I clean my shrimpy bat-mobile inside and out, also cleaning the windows on my shrimpy truck (completing yet another item on my to-do list.

looks like Rosie wants to try another wet walk, wish us luck....
