have I become so dutch, to think that $90/month for fone service is beyond astronomical?!  Brian (cool hippy lady's kid) says he just found this "deal".  he currently pays $130/month for a service he doesn't even likeshocked.  JESUS!! that's a lotta cabbage!  I'm used to spending 10 cents a minute, and then hardly using the damn thing (which, now I can only text on), or 9.99/month for Vonage (which, as you know, I just dumped) but I guess cheap doesn't always equal good when all the hassles are factored in (read past entries if you want to see why I tear my hair out about fones). I can't even justify $50/month for 100 channels of cable TV...and I dig TV.  I guess I've lived "on the cheap" for so long, I forget what "normal" people do to get by.

as I'm writing, I google "tear".  is that how you spell the word meaning "to rip" or "to cry".  seems both words are spelled the samewhatevah.  how can that be?  I know most words have more than one meaning, but this one's spelled the same with different pronunciationssilly.  hmmmm. I'm confused.  or maybe google's spell checker is off a bit.  don't matter.  the end.

I was stressin' hard this weekend about going back to the gulag!  a good week off to heal my spine, and the thought of going back was not so good.  the Kid comes and visits during my lowest of lows.  I think I drilled him with gloom and doom about my work and the ever declining economy (sorry Kid, for that).  as predicted, I was fine, once I got there, and started bustin' a hump again.  once rolling, it almost felt good to be back (what the hell did I just say?!wtf).  my welder breaks down for a good 3 or 4 hours, so they have me work in the beer/orgy dept. (these night shifters are quiet, compared to the "party monsters" on days).  then I get sent to work for a couple hours in the "good job" dept (the tools tell you "good job" with each correct use), so it was kind of a good mixed bag sort of day, instead of one machine for 12 hours.

got my hair cut before work.  feels good to not be the hippy I was becoming.  it's snowing like mofo outside.  I best start getting ready for the gulag early, then maybe hit the dollar menu at Wendy's for breakfast...
