save, save, save, spend
burn some coffee, do some early morning pre-stalag online banking. since rent and bills were paid last week, I wasn't able to put 20% of that check into savings. I take 20% of that amount, plus 20% of this weeks check, and what the hell, an extra $100, plowing a total of $255 into savings, leaving me with just over a $100 (in checking) for the week for food and gas
. I also zero out my Master Card balance (sans the guitar purchases) from my savings account. why hang onto looming debt when I have extry money to kill it off? I see the order I placed on one guitar had already been shipped from Kentucky (oddly enough it was my second order placed). the first order hadn't been picked yet (I hope they're open on Saturday). being I pick the free 5 day shipping, I'm hoping they arrive by my next "weekend"...I may sleep on the couch, by the front door come Monday and Tuesday (graveyard shift days) in case they arrive during those days (I don't know if they need a signature in order for UPS to drop 'em off or not, in any case, I'll be home). the anticipation is high. I'm like a little kid at the candy store
! it's fun! meanwhile, I prob'ly ought to dust off these old preamps, and see if they still light up...again, just like my work pants order, I notice the UPS tracking goes from Kentucky to Missouri...isn't Missouri south of Kentucky? that guitar's gotta go north fellas. the MIttens way up here near the canuck border. follow the plaid flannel highway north, then turn left at Grand Rabbits
. I once again, can only assume it's going from the store to a major UPS hub of some sort, who knows? it don't matter none, as long as it tracks north eventually....
