Rosie training
only 2 1/2 beers last night before crashin' out. I stayed up 'til about ten pm, then slept 'til maybe 5:30am, did the dishes, cleaned up a bit then fell back asleep 3 hours later to try and get at least 7 hours of sleep in before hitting the stalag. Brian borrows my truck to help one of his friends move, then wanders over around 3:30pm tonight, rattling Rosie's collar and trying to coax her out of my room (she sleeps on a big pillow next to my bed) for a walk, while I pretend to sleep. he's giving her three and four dog treats and tugging on the collar he quietly puts on, just then, I said "it's not working is it?"...he's seems mad that she won't cooperate. I mention the fact that you use one of those treats to coax her outside, and one when she's done going potty, realizing right there and then, that it's been Rosie's training on me that gets her to cooperate so well. the dog isn't content unless the handler follows her directions
. I remember back when I acquired her how stubborn she seemed (just like the way she treats Brian), now that I've been fully trained, she seems much happier. good boy! heh! we humans are so easily trainable.anyway. gotta get ready for the Stalag (...yet another thing that I've been trained for; work, to provide food for the dog
)
