again, we're sent home early for lack of work. this time it was 3 1/2 hours into the day. looks like we have both Sunday and Monday off for the 4th (Monday=holiday; Sunday with the option to use a vacation day to cover it, or just keep it a free day off. I opt for the latter. if I can afford it without pay, it gives me that extra day off later, with pay. and as most slackers will tell ya, more time off from work is more important than whether or not ya get paid
), so if I can get at least 8 hours in tomorrow, that'd give me about 20 hours. 20 will do. that's about $220 before taxes. that's enough. this weeks check (received this morning) will be enough for rent and a couple bills, so next weeks check won't have to be huge. just enough for food and gas...I try and take me a power-nap this afternoon, but a silly dog doesn't let me due to a huge thunderstorm currently going on.
the Kid and his friend move all their stuff back in for the long weekend, then I ask the Kid what's all the red marks on his arm (looks like chicken pox
). he said the motel they stayed at apparently had bed bugs....
. let's hope they didn't drag 'em over here!! just the idea has me itchin'. oh well. nothing 4 or 5 flea bombs won't take care of, but what a hassle. news at 11.
