to look busy today, Ron (aka Chas Manson) grinds off one of his cars fenders (why?...who cares), and tears up more of his motor. as the pooperdog and I walk by he comments on how much work he got done today (he's never had a real job for as long as I've known him, so tearing apart your only mode of transportation, must be considered "work" to him). I drove him to the store the other day. he goes on about how a lot of peeps wanna buy that old '70's (something) Dodge Charger of his, but he says he'll never sell it out of spite to the park owners. so I guess I was right, the car will forever be a rusting monument in his driveway...the thing is so badly in need of repair, it'd cost a mint just to get it running again, yet he thinks it's worth a ton of money in its current state. he says it's a rare model due to the fact that they wrecked so many "General Lee" copies during the filming of the Dukes of Hazard
. I think he's out of his tree. I have a feeling he doesn't wanna sell it because no one will make him an offer anywhere close to what he wants, and he's so damn poor that he can't even keep his '80's something oldsmobile in runnin'. instead, he finds it productive to dismantle it...I smerf the web to try and find out why my 'puter keeps zappin' out. turns out that it's common for Toshiba satellites to overheat, but it was happening way too frequently, so I hit youtube for suggestions on how to resolve said problem. one suggestion was to use a wet/dry vac to clean the heatsink and fans (without tearing apart the 'puter itself). I try this. it works good! I also watch vids on how to tear it all apart and mod the heatsink using copper. looks like fun, but I'll maybe only do that if and when the vacuum suggestion goes south.
I only drink one beer tonight, due to the fact that I had a weeks worth last night
. I spend time today powernapping in my own private ICU to quell the over hanging hangover. a little food shoppin' and a trip to 'Kozak's for a gyro and a rootbeer for supper (mmmmmms!). while turning into the store parking lot I see a wallet in the middle of the road. it's rush hour at this point and it's the main drag thru town, so I'm not gonna risk my neck fetching it. I wonder if the person who owns it is even aware it's missing. I imagine it was maybe on his dash board and went flying unnoticed out the window when he made the turn into the same store that i was turning into. oh well. someone will grab it, steal the cash, and turn it in
seen a pretty good movie (with a bad ending) today on Netflix. it was called "Tetsuo; the gunman" (or some such title). pretty freaky flick! I see other "tetsuo" movies. I'll peruse those to see if they're just as good. Pandora radio currently set on 'Laika and the cosmonauts'. good stuff!
damn, the skeeters are hellacious out here on the porch. best head inside before they chew me a new one
