  • my cracked throat has been prohibiting me from being the booze hound that I aspire to be, as of late, but yesterday was an exception, since I started at 11am, waxing my truck betwixt raindrops...the beers never went down smoother.  I must have put away a 12'er of that "Mexican beer" thru out the day. I, of course, played hide the keys from myself...I also hid the phone after noticing Brian (neighbor/almost room mate) called.  I suspected he needed a ride somewhere, but that wasn't gonna happen.  he caught me today and flagged me down on the back road, and asked why I haven't answered my phone? wanting to tell him that I want my weekend to be mine and not having to set my watch to his schedule to be the chauffeur about town for him...instead, I just told him I lost it, like I always tell him.  he stops by later (during my power-nap naturally) and wants a ride to his car across town (man! this guy! he's some kinda meatball...I should charge him by the mile).  it's never a quick pick up the car and go either, he's gotta be on the phone to someone, while I sit and wait...and wait...and wait.

it rained amazingly hard for a couple bouts yesterday.  this morning, while trying to lure Rosie into the passenger side of my truck (she likes to go for a spin ever now and again) I noticed the carpet was wetwtf.  I picked up the rubber floor mat, and the entire floor was soaked.  I throw the mat outside, grab the wet vac, and vacuum what I can out.  meanwhile, I assume all the water came from a bad seal on the passenger door.  the door itself got torqued out of shape somewhat during that roll over I had last winter in the ditch.  I head to the hardware store and buy some rubber gasket material that I stick to the door itself aligning it with the rubber seal on the door opening hoping that it'll be enough to keep the water out (we'll see).

let's see.  what else?  taco bell for lunch, a couple rainy pooperdog walks, playing some PS2 'BLACK' using Brian's 45 inch TV, drinkin' a couple Landshark Lagers,  and cooking some lasagna fills the rest of the day.
