good weekend...
alright, well, we had to do a half a day on Saturday, so Friday morning after work I do some grocery shopping, put a good beer buzz on and wash me dune buggy, simply to pass out in the lawn chair and get a sun burn ('twas a good day). I was able to sober up by 2am the next day (it was the second half of our shift that we had to go in on...2am 'til 7am). I bought some [better] car wax and some detailing products, so as I can spend my Saturday doing what I did yesterday (working on the car with a good drunkening
). I also purchase an antenna topper that looks like an angry chicken head being trailed by flames smoking a cigar, and a good cleaner/water repellent for the ragtop. it looks like a brand new car with all the work done. nice weather for it! I drive to work with the top down again. the stars are incredibly bright at 1am on country roads without street lamps, I almost forget to look where I'm driving it's that cool! otherwise, nothing new...barefoot pooperdog walks, power-naps, etc.it's been a bad couple of weeks for the neighborhood's pets. Jamie (who lives across the street and to the left a couple) had lost his cat 'Squeekers' to liver cancer, and 'across the way Jay' had a cute little mutt named Mickey who also passed from cancer, but his was of the throat. I always wondered about that dogs unusual bark. now I know. it's sad when little mammals have to move on. it'll be a sad day indeed when it's Rosie's turn. oh, and speakin' of Rosie, her old owner/mom [Mittens] had stopped by to visit (along with her boyfriend, her daughter, and her boyfriend's son). they pull up in a newly repainted '02 Mustang GT. sharp car! they in turn check out my dune buggy. it was a nice visit...
anyway. time for another power-nap, after I let the dog back inside...
