nice, I guess the schedule for this week has been posted as to whether or not we work this holiday weekend.  according to Ashley, we gotta work both Friday and Saturdayshocked, making it a good 60 hour work week.  good gawd!  didn't we have to work last Saturday so we wouldn't have to this weekend?!  that's how the boss put it.  I don't dare take Ashley's word on it, nor do I wanna check the board just yet, so we'll see what happens...meanwhile, this IS a first, if indeed they gave us this much notice for weekend work. it's usually not decided until we leave Friday morning at the last minute.  here's hopin' (if indeed it IS posted early) that they do that more often, so I don't dare to look at it early, at my own choicelaughing.

I get stopped by my (next street over) neighbor, who asked if he can borrow some money for a beer run.  I don't carry cash (hardly ever), but I told him if he wants to drive me to my favorite liquor store, I could buy it for him. he says he can pay me tomorrow (which turns out to be today), but I figured right off the bat, that it would prob'ly turn into a donation, being that we took his POS car, that had every engine light on, and wouldn't drive over 40MPH without violently shaking, only to have him tell me that he's an auto mechanicwhatevah.  my suspicions (so far) are right.  the pooperdog and I walk past his house tonight and don't get stopped.  I'll just keep walking past his house until he decides whether he wants to pay me or not.  if not, fine.  I don't give at church, so why not enable someone's addiction every now and then, right?laughing.  on the way to the store, he volunteers every DUI story and felony he's ever been convicted of even before catching his name.  sob stories about how he lost his house and his auto mechanic bidness during the crash, etc. I'm not feeling too sorry for the guy being that he's half loaded and borrowing my time and money to reloadsilly...anyway, he seems like a nice enough guy.  I hope he doesn't become a regular 'money borrower/drive me to the beer store' guy, 'cause I'll put a stymy to it.

Brian (almost neighbor/room mate) pays cash for next months rent and bills. I figure out my check amount to be deposited this Friday (it's a whopper...55 hours worth), plus I'll deposit said $210 cash ($150 rent/$60 cable bill) into checking and determine that I have enough for next months lot rent, plus an extra payment ($135) to put toward the Kid loan, plus a good $250 to drop onto my MC bringing debt down hugely, still leaving $150 in checking for food, gas, beer, for the week! I gotta keep throwing "extra money" toward debt knowing these long work weeks won't last forever.  my goal, of course, is to eradicate the Kid loan, and zero out my MC as soon as possible, leaving me with only my car payment, lot rent, and bills [period]. from that point, I'll throw whatever's "extra" toward my dune buggy.  anywho,  at this rate, things will drop off the radar quick!  that's good!  I'm not leaving much for the savings account, but the money I "save" in interest that should be paid on loans that I blast away is gigantic.  it feels good to head toward zero again (while times are good...).  meanwhile, the "extra payments" I've been making toward the Kid loan, has not only reduced the principle/interest  greatly, it also pushes the due date up another month with every payment, so if I get in a pickle, I can have that buffer time (my next payment due date is currently pushed ahead to September.   awesome!  oh the huge benefits of paying things off early just keep stacking upcool).   it's not a matter of 'if' but 'when' times will be bad again.  make hay while the sun shines (or how ever that silly saying goes?shy).

ooof!  gotta get ready for the stalag *fart*
